Château Beynat is a century-old property and is now in the hands of Alain Tourenne, a passionate winegrower committed to respecting the environment. Château Beynat is located in Sainte Magne de Castillon, and covers 14 hectares cultivated in biodynamic farming. Alain doesn't stop at the traditional viticultural and winemaking practices, he is constantly thinking about creating new processes and new potions, each one more ridiculous than the last, and each time it works, earning him the nickname of "Magician Winemaker".
This is the estate's cuvée with a majority of Merlot accompanied by Cabernet Sauvignon, all from biodynamic clayey-limestone and clay-loam plots. The grapes are harvested partly manually and partly mechanically, then they are sorted thanks to an innovative system created by Alain, the FLOTATRI, allowing sorting by density. The vinification is then done in whole berries with punching of the cap for 30 days, then the wine will remain 18 months in concrete tanks in order to concentrate all the fruit and freshness of the grapes.
A wine with notes of fresh red fruits with some spicy notes, the mouth is supple and fresh. A small juice with substance all the same for an immediate pleasure.
To be enjoyed on a platter of cold meats and cheeses, or for a meal around red meat and for the less meaty it will also go very well with vegetable dishes.
