Asoleo Moscatel is a naturally sweet white wine of the native variety of Muscat from vines planted and grafted by hand by José Miguel Márquez. After the grapes are harvested at the end of July, the grapes are laid on the ground, (Asoleo) in the sun, for several days, before fermentation, which lasts about 2 months. The wine is left to rest for a year, leaving a large amount of its own residual sugar, which, together with the alcohol produced, gives a wine with good acidity and freshness. The entire vinification process is completely natural with no added inputs or sulphites.
Marenas Viñedo y Bodega is located in Montilla in the heart of Andalusia. The 5 hectares of vines planted and grafted by hand by José Miguel Marquez more than 20 years ago, enjoy a Mediterranean climate, with a great influence of the air that comes from the Atlantic Sea, humid and salty, with a continental climate. With 3,000 hours of sunshine per year, the vineyard has a very fast vegetative process that advances the harvest compared to other areas, being the first region to start harvesting in Spain. The environment is essential in the management of the estate's vines, everything is done in the most natural way possible and no inputs are used in the vinification process.
