Les Pieds dans l'Ô - Les Petites Parcelles - Orange Wine - 1L
This cuvée Les Pieds dans l'Ô is unfortunately the result of a sad adventure that affected our winegrowing family. In February, the south of the Gironde was hit by a major flood, particularly in the village of Langon where the Petites Parcelles winery is located.
The rising waters in the cellar made quite a mess, with the wine cans ending up with their feet in the water, but Sébastien and Sophie have the strength to turn a moment of life, whether good or bad, into a new vintage with emotions inside.
This is how Les Pieds dans l'Ô was born (we understand the reference after this little story), it is composed of 50% of Sauvignon Gris, 40% Semillon and 10% of lees, there is also a secret ingredient. And as we are very thirsty to forget this vintage, they did not put it in 75cl bottles but in liters!
It is an orange wine with delicate notes of apricots and flowers, the wine is very supple with a lot of freshness, it drinks itself!
The Small Plotsthe crazy adventure of Sophie, Sébastien, Arthur and Marius Cantury
With his background as an oenologist and his past experiences, Sébastien aspires to return to the origins of the creation of a unique wine, to the management of a vineyard in a thoughtful way with the real desire to express and reveal the secrets of the Petites Parcelles.
Once his idea had germinated, it was in partnership with his wife Sophie that they created their first vineyard Les Petites Parcelles, covering only 85 ares in Gabarnac, 38 km from Bordeaux.
This duo of artisan winemakers wishes to be deeply rooted in time, while at the same time bringing a federative and family resonance. It is therefore quite natural that their children Arthur and Marius participate in the life of the estate.
This micro-vineyard is managed in permaculture and cultivated like a garden. All the work is done manually, using the old and traditional winegrowing techniques (mulching, digging, composting, grassing)
No weed killers or chemical fertilizers, no synthetic fungicides, instead they use herbal teas, talcum powder, essential oils and biodynamic preparations.
As far as the vinification is concerned, the work is the same, as natural as possible, leaving the grapes to work on their own, only accompanying them.
They push the ecological approach even further, by using only bottles recovered from their customers, and the labels are made by Sophie who cuts them out of magazines and writes them all by hand. An amazing job!
Les Petites Parcelles is really the result of a family adventure where nature and conviviality are at the heart of all actions.
