L'Esprit des Terriens is a vintage of Cabernet Franc is the result of the work of two winegrowers, Pascal Lambert and Philippe Gourdon, two friends, landlubbers and in love with their land respectively Le Puy Notre Dame and Cravant les Coteaux. This wine is made from the solidarity in the face of the 2016 spring frost where Philippe vinified some of his last vintage for Pascal.
The grapes of L'Esprit des Terriens are harvested manuallyThe grapes are de-stemmed and then macerated in the "Gourdon" style, then fermented only with indigenous yeasts. The wine is then aged for 12 months in 500 litre oak barrels before being bottled without fining or filtration.
L'Esprit des Terriens reveals a very elegant nose, dominated by the ripe fruit and the minerality of the limestone terroir. A wine gourmetwith a rich, juicy, crunchy palate and velvety tannins.
It will go wonderfully well with navarin lamb, roast pigeon, sweetbreads in Madeira sauce or duck breast in cranberry sauce.
