Is a light wine made from a blend of old Catalan grape varieties: Cartoixa VermellUll de Llebre (Tempranillo) and Parellada grown on clay-limestone soils in biodynamic agriculture. The grapes are obviously harvested by hand.
Part of the harvest is pressed directly, while the other part is sent to maceration for 2 weeks in whole bunches. The wine is then aged for 6 months in stainless steel tanks. All the vinification is natural and no sulphites are added.
ET Emilie Tom is a very supple wine, with an explosion of red fruits and a lot of freshness.
Emilie Mutombo in Bonastre (Catalonia)
At the age of 30, Emilie Mutombo, a young Belgian, gave up the event management she was doing in Brussels to start working in wine. Not being from the wine world, the conversion was not easy for her but she started her transition by studying oenology and then started her first experiences in the French vineyard.
During a Salon des Vins Anonymes in Angers, she met Massimo Marchiori from Partida Creus and their wine energies proved to be compatible. Emilie decided to move to Catalonia and began working with Massimo and Antonella.
Year after year, she gains experience and her project takes shape more and more, she wants to produce her own vintages. She can count on the support of Massimo and Antonella to provide her with grapes and to let her vinify in the cellars of Partida Creus.
She made her very first red wine, Emilie Tom, with the help of her friend Tom Colman, from the Jauma estate in South Australia, followed by a natural sparkling wine and then many other wines.
