Cartagène Blanche is made from Carignan Blanc, Roussanne and Marsanne grown biodynamically by Daniel. After a cold settling, the wine is transferred to the alcohol aged in barrels for 2 years and then the Cartagène is aged for 2 years in barrels not toasted.
La Cartagène Blanche reveals a powerful, aromatic and fruity nose of raisins, honey and candied citrus fruits. The mouth is soft, fruity and super balanced with freshness and no sensation of alcohol.
Daniel Le Conte Des Floris was in another life as a journalist, before changing course in 2000 by creating his estate, Le Conte des Floris, in the village of Pézenas, in the Languedoc. Trained in Burgundy, Daniel works his wines as he does in Burgundy, by adapting the terroirs in his cuvées to the most suitable grape/soil combinations and by ageing his wines in Burgundy barrels. The 7 hectares of the estate are biodynamic.
