Carimou, a 100% Carignan Noir vinified without any input and aged for no less than 24 months in old barrels.
After 6 seasons spent in various vineyards in the South of France (Bergerac, Fitou, Corbières, Ariège and Châteauneuf du Pape) as a wine technician and oenologist, Anthony Tortul chose to settle down and create La Sorga. He does not own any vines but travels all over France from the Rhone valley to the Languedoc, passing through the South-West to rigorously select exceptional terroirs, ending up today with no less than forty vines to be vinified. The vines, often isolated and aged between 40 and 110 years old, are cultivated without synthetic products, they are ploughed or kept under grass in order to favour the microbial life of the soil and follow strict specifications concerning cultivation, yields, health and stages of maturity. All vinifications are completely natural with no added inputs or sulphite.
