Xavier Bénier's Beaujolais Blanc is made up of Chardonnay grown organically with only the interventions he deems necessary at a given time. The grapes are harvested at optimal maturity, vinified naturally and then the wine is aged in vats only to preserve the freshness of the fruit.
It develops sustained notes of apricot and peach, which we find in the mouth with great freshness. A greedy expression of Chardonnay!
Since 2001, Xavier Benier has been living in the commune of Saint-Julien, near the Brouilly appellation. He runs a 6.5 hectare estate with passion and great commitment. Working with the requirement of a clean viticulture, the winegrower excludes insecticides and fertilizers and favours the ploughing of the soil as well as the use of copper and sulphur. Minimalism in his cellar interventions, Xavier Benier produces wines vinified in the most natural way possible.
