Aramon to 100% raised in organic farming and with low yields on the slopes of Béziers by Marc Royo. The harvest is all done by hand before starting the vinification naturally without adding yeast, then the wine is aged for 4 months in terracotta amphorae. A sublimation of this grape variety which is rare nowadays.
Aramon fills our nostrils with aromas of liquorice and jammy black fruits. The palate is surprisingly fresh, almost mentholated with lots of fruit and a very juicy side with silky tannins.
It goes wonderfully with couscous, prepared in the purest tradition of course!
It is in the heart of Languedoc-Roussillon in the small village of Corneilhan, very close to Béziers that Anne-Laure & Marc ROYO took over this vineyard in 2018. The estate was named Émile et Rose, in memory of the first names of the first owners. With a surface area of 27 ha, this vineyard is made up of plots of land on small slopes, with low yields, where carignan, aramon, cinsault and grenache are grown organically.
