A l'Ouest de mon Sud 2020 - Le Petit Clou des Vents - Vin de France (Duras)

Est issu de raisins de Merlot âgés entre 15 et 45 ans situés sur les hauts de côteaux sur sol argilo-calcaire. Ils sont ramassés manuellement et égrappés (c'est la seule cuvée du domaine à l'être) puis envoyés en macération en cuve résine pour 15 jours.

The grapes are processed by punching down The grape juice and press juice are then blended and finally matured for 8 months in fibreglass tanks.

Le nom à l'Ouest de mon Sud est un hommage aux origines Biterroises de Sylvain qu'il a quitté pour s'installer plus à l'Ouest.

Les merlots de à l'Ouest de mon Sud sont très mûrs apportant au vin une jolie concentration. La matière est soyeuse, la bouche est gourmande et juteuse avec tout de même des tannins assez présents.

Sylvain also produces a sweet white wine, but not too sweet: The Robin of the Vines and an incredible oxidative wine: All Sails Out.

Le Petit Clou des Vents - Sylvain Jougla - Soumensac

Domaine le Petit Clou des Vents is a small wine estate founded in 2011 by Sylvain Jougla and his wife Lucile. The estate is located in Soumensac in the Lot et Garonne in the Duras appellation.

Sylvain Jougla is a native winemaker from Béziers who makes very nice and atypical natural wines by intervening as little as possible during the vinification process, using indigenous yeasts.

All the vines, with a total surface area of 3.5 hectares, are cultivated using organic and biodynamic methods, with intensive time spent working the soil to optimise the quality of the wines.
